All India Radio started using Q24-4888 to stream their 80 Audio Channels in HLS Streaming format to TataBitgravity CDN. Perceptual SoundMax^TM Model Q24-4888 is the DSP-based eight-channel encoding/decoding and streaming system cum audio processor employing powerful state-of-art signal processing techniques for high-quality encoding. Each Perceptual SoundMax^TM Model Q24-4888 can accept inputs for 8 stereo channels in digital AES/EBU as well as in analog (unbalanced) format for encoding and streaming to the streaming/distribution servers or CDN. It supports the highest quality AAC-LC, AAC-HEv2, and MP3 encoding formats at multiple bitrates. It encodes & streams each audio input channel into AAC & MP3 encoding formats with two different bitrates for each format for adaptive streaming applications and supports listening on all platforms like desktop/laptops/all handheld devices etc. Industry-standard AAC, MP3 encoders are enhanced by advanced ATC Labs Psychoacoustic Models. It also performs elaborate 24-band processing using an extremely detailed and accurate time-frequency representation of the audio signals. Using the latest advances in signal processing techniques such as filter banks and unique ATC Labs know-how in Psychoacoustic Modeling and Harmonic Analysis we have developed a set of novel signal conditioning tools that maximize the performance of the 24-band dynamics processing and augment it with novel signal conditioning tools. The result is a unique and pleasing sound that emphasizes the presence and perceived loudness while at the same time improving long term listenability and provides high-quality encoding/decoding.
